How many ways are there to conc. protein? - (Jul/29/2008 )

Just like the title says, i would like to know the ways to concentrate protein other then ultrafiltration. Thanks

You can precipitate either with Ammonium sulfate or Acetone and then resuspend in a smaller volume, you can also use PEG concentration

you can also lyophilise your protein and resuspend in the volume needed. But you may consider the final salt concentration.

Vaccum dialysis

You can also use RotaVapor to quickly evaporate the water in your protein solution.
