help! accidentally used the wrong secondary antibody - ICC (Jul/25/2008 )
Hi everyone,
I need help! I accidentally used a wrong secondary antibody on my double stainings today! Is there a change that restaining with the correct antibody will still work?
thx!

IMVHO it should work.
-K.B.-
Might affect the result a little - depends on whether the secondary Ab U used binds the target. Make negative control accordingly so that U can compare if the result has been affected. Even if the target cells do not have the ligand for the secondary Ab, there can be non-specific binding. Try comparing with control.

the wrong 2nd Ab may cause some background, but try to re-start with the right 2n Ab

it depends on specficity of the wrong antibody u used and
which step was you when u switched to right antibody.....this both factor will affect ur experiment result
