Acid in Dialysis Tubing - probably a stupid question (Jul/11/2008 )
This probably sounds like a silly question, but going to ask anyway
I have 52% sulphuric acid, which after a hydrolysis is diluted with 250ml water. If I put this straight into dialysis tubing, will it dissolve the tubes?

What is the experiment?

Depends on at least two things: The volume of your 52% acid solution and the type of tube you are using. Without giving the details, no-one will be able to answer your question. Actually the presence of a buffer in one of the solutions can change a lot of things too. Please ask your question more specifically.
