HepG2 seeding problems - (Jul/05/2008 )

Hi everyone
I am having a nightmare week trying to seed HepG2 cells into 12 wells plates. I've had three tries now and no matter how much I pipette them, even through a blunt needle (!), prior to seeding each time the majority of the cells all bunch together in the centre of the well and fail to spread out. I want to tranfect them with Fugene6 and know that I wont get good transfection efficiency if I dont get my cells as to spread out and be in a fairly single cell state when I come to transfect them. Has anyone got any advice as to why my cells are doing this and how I can prevent this problem? THANK YOU in advance!
