Antibodies for flow cytometry - MAP2, NeuN, GFAP (Jun/26/2008 )
Hi
Does anyone know a company which sells MAP2, NeuN and/or GFAP antibodies labelled with fluorochromes for flow cytometry analysis? I couldn´t find them. May be the only possibility is to do an indirect staining with a secondary? I´d prefer a direct labelling
Thank you

Or you could label the Ab's yourself with commercial kits or send it off somewhere to have it labeled by experts. Usually the big fluorescent Ab making companies offer that service.
Thank you, I´m suppose that people from Molecular Probes or similar may help me.
Try Biolegend or Ebioscience... they've got a number of labeled antibodies.
I tried indirect labelling (primary and the fluorescent secondary...) for neuronal markers and for me it works well as long as you look at cytoplasmic proteins and cytoskeletal components. Background is not really a problem there. Also there a couple of surface molecules which you could use as markers, e.g. prominin. Everything that is a transcription factor or just nuclear indirect labelling is more of a hassle...you're right there...
