Crystal violet to determine cell numbers - (May/22/2008 )

Does anyone know how the crystal violet assay to determine cell number work?? I got the protocol but am curious how it works. Thanks

CV is not really to know cell number. It's an adhesion assay. You can also determine cell death because the dijing cell will be detach.
