CHO cells medium - (May/19/2008 )

Hello evrybody! I'm looking for the components of a very good medium for CHO celll line... There are a lot of different mediums in verious articles, so what's your medium composition? Thanks!

We use F-12 plus 10 % FBS.

I use Ham's F12K for my CHO-K1 cell line. I have also seen multiple medias used for CHO and one post-doc in my lab uses DMEM for his CHO cells. I went with the ATCC media suggestion since we got our cells from them. Honestly, I think CHO cells could grow in just about anything though.

on my hands, I dont think the cells like DMEM at all, RPMI-1640 maybe OK.

Thank you for the suggestions!! i thnk i will use IMDM with 10% FCS and 1% L-Glu.... what do you think?
