About Ligation Independent Cloning - share the opinions (May/08/2008 )

Anyone has done the ligation indepent cloning before? Does it work very well. I heard it's popular recently. Is it that efficient as it is reported?

That's the first i've heard about it, looks interesting. It probably works ok but is it really going to save you that much time and money though? I'm not sure it will, there is still a similar amount of preparation time compared to normal cloning there.

I used a LIC kit to clone truncated polymerase genes each one worked first time ! Far easier than normal cloning.
