Hoechst AND PI for apoptosis - (May/06/2008 )

Can anyone kindly provide a protocol for Hoechst dye (membrane permeable) and PI staining for adherent cells for microscopy?

Are these two dyes enough to differentiate live cells, apoptotic cells and necrotic cells?
