intracellular staining - PHA as positive control? (May/06/2008 )

Hello everyone,

I have used PHA in several functional assays as a positive control for T cell stimulation previously. When searching for articles on intracellular staining, authors used other positive control stimulants. Can I use PHA as a positive control stimulant when stimulating T cells with peptides for intracellular cytokine staining or is there any reason to use other positive control stimulants?

Any advice?
