How to clean the RNA buffer Tank (to get rid of RNase)? - (May/05/2008 )

Dear all,

I would like to clean my RNA buffer Tank and comb. What should I do? Clean it by detergent and then 0.2M NaOH and DEPC water?

Any opinion?

Many Thanks

3% hydrogen peroxide is probably easier. Then DEPC water.

Dear phage434,

Thank you for your kind reply. Our hydrogen peroxide was expired, any alternative? Thanks so much.

hi siuchi..

i've been doing rna extraction in my lab n we have been using this method for quite a while.i think it works for us (happy.gif)...

1: soak the well tank with 0.2% SDS(overnite)
2: rinse with d H2O
3: soak with 100% EtOH (20 minutes)
4: rinse with d H2O
5: soak with DEPC water (1 minute)
6: ready to use

i'm quite new in this forum..so hopefully it helps...
