cell line culture - (Apr/20/2008 )

Hello everyone,
Thnak you guys for sharing your great knowledge with us. Actually I am about to start my PhD project, I am working on HL-60, and my topic is RNAI and gene silencing in acute leukemias. Regarding the medium, I have seen many articles using the RPMI-1640 and I was about to order it from ATCC but they told me the recommended medium is Iscove’s Modified Dulbecco’s Medium (IMDM). So what do u thing which is better for my cell line HL-60

I worked with HL-60 in the past

Medium used: RPMI-1640 + 20% FBS + 1% P-S
