Looking for high-capacity HPLC column - (Apr/17/2008 )

Hello guys,

I am working on some small peptides (spider toxins). The final step of the peptide purification is rpHPLC. For our current peptide expression level (5-10mg/L culture of exprssing bacteria), we are using a 250mm x 15mm column for HPLC. This column can handle 10-15 mg protein at a time. It is OK for our current situation. Now our aim is to get hundreds of minigram peptide in 1L culture of expressing organism, then the capacity of our current column is not good enough.

Can someone recommend any HPLC column which can handle at least 100mg protein at a time? Thanks in advance!

how about something like this:

bioprocess column

(you may have to pack it yourself).

or you could look for some other preparative scale column:

preparative chromatography

Thank you, mdfendo. Your advice is very helpful.
