Intron splicing - (Apr/12/2008 )

Can some one tell me in the mRNA processing, either introns are apliced before the addition of poly A tail or the introns are spliced after the addition of poly a tail.
I am confused in alternative intron splicing.

Check this article. [attachment=4535:black__2...splicing.pdf] It has a comprehensive explanation of the mechanisms of alternative splicing.

But if you are really new to this you should first study classical splicing in a good genetics text book. Without understanding the basics you will never understand the rest. Always keep this in mind.
