PCR detection for latent infection of Human CMV - (Apr/09/2008 )

Hi, there
I am working on PCR amplifying for latent infection of CMV from immunocompetent seropositive participants.
Although there have been a lot of papers about that, I still do not get results.
Could anyone have such experiences on this work and give me some suggestions?

Are you following the PCR protocol from a paper- or are you trying to develop your own??
What is your sample, and what gene are you trying to amplify??
