SYBR Gold - which ladder to use? (Apr/07/2008 )

Hello

I have switched from EtBr to SYBR gold when staining my agarose gels. However, I noticed that the regular DNA ladder I use (Fermentas 100bp ladder) does not look the same on the different gels. I know that band migration is altered when using SYBR Gold, but I have tried several ladders and after 1-2h at 70-90V, only the shorter bp bands of the ladder are well separeted from the other bands. Can anyone please recommend which DNA ladder to use when staining with Sybr Gold?

use whichever ladder you want and stain after the gel has been run. migration will be unaffected by stain.
