Cos stable transfection - (Mar/26/2008 )

Hello!
Dose anyone have experience on stable transfection on Cos cells? What should be careful in doing this? Do I have to linearize the plasmids? How much DNA and which neomicin concentration have to been used?

Hi there,

cos7 cells are remarkable easy to transfect.

For your neomycin concentration, you will have to do a titration of your stock on your cells as this can vary greatly (unless someone else in your lab already has?? although you should really repeat everytime you get a new stock of neomycin).
