plasmid transfection in hepatocytes - (Mar/26/2008 )

i'd like to transfect plasmids in hepatocytes.
i was wondering how it is possible that a plasmid can be translated in mRNA if the DNA polymerase resides in the nucleus? Please can anyone help me?

a very small fraction of plasmid do get into the nucleus. It could be transported into or incorporated into during cell division.
