controls for apoptotic assay - (Mar/24/2008 )

HI,

I wish to look for the role of my gene/protein of interest in apoptotic pathways...
i work with a highly tumorigenic cell line expressing my gene and have its specific siRNAs...
need help designing an expt.. i.e any apoptotic assay like Tunel or caspase or annexin V (which one works better?)....
like appropriate controls, timepoints, endpoint measurements etc.
Can someone guide me on this? any suggestion is highly appreciated.

I would try Annexin V at the very beginning. Of course, others are also possible.
You can find many kits, and some of them also provide controls.
