Dear all,
I got my sequencing results last week and BLASTed the seq. Results were 98% similarity. Q: Does alignment using the BLAST tool sifficeient? Should I use some tools and get the RNA sequence from my result andthen use the RDP-II site to check?
Thanks guys.

If you have sequenced 16S rRNA/DNA, then you should be able to use RDP website without any further manipulation on your data. Also , if its a clone library you have, RDP has cool "pipeline" where it checks your sequence quality, eliminates poor ones , aligns to its dataset for further analysis.
