happy Easter day for all those celebrating this day
since i'm not a christian,i like to know why eggs are used for this day widely!?

I think the eggs have no connection with easter what so ever.
Its just a commercial thing created by someone who wanted to make money...
I mean: the eggs come from the easterbunny, and the easterbunny is nothing catholic at all. Its just a tradition to amuse kids. It has nothing to do with the catholic celebration of easter.
(its like christmas, where you give gifts to all your friends===> nothing catholic either, its just some commercial thing people adapted and still use.)

think of spring, and you think of new things coming to life. think of life, and you think of eggs. think of eggs, and you think of fertility. think of fertility, and you think of rabbits.
it's a fertility/life celebration.
eggs were given as a celebration of life during these pagen days.
then the christianity bit came into it... jeasus dies, and comes back to life. which happened to occur during the passover (high passover, a very special event, in regard to the changing of the seasons).
easter is not catholic... it's christian (all demoninations)... and pagen (though they don't call it easter)... also thrusday (before good friday) was the beginning of purim.
not sure where the chocolate comes into it, but i'm not going to complain.

Well maybe to clear something out:
its called "pasen" and it has nothing to do with easter.
So I was wrong.
Easter has nothing to do with "pasen" the christian thing.
But in europe, they are tangled togheter and easter and pasen are seen as 1 thing.
Its now even like this in christian believe that the eastereggs are dropped by the churchbells that fly over... lol

paskha is a type of cheese (we make it sweet, and have it with cherries).
i don't know of anyone who eats rabbits specifically for easter.
good friday is supposed to be a day of fasting... which over time has become a day to miss out eating red meat... which over time became a day to have a seafood feast. apparantly eating fish is exactly the same as fasting.
easter is only a x-tian holdiay (based on jesus).
purim is a jewish holiday (based on the book of ester). it's not a high holiday, but it's pretty interesting, and hamatashen (spelling is probably off) taste wonderful (they're sweets filled with poppyseeds and shaped to look like old fashioned hats).
chocolate is for all.
i don't know what the pasen is... unless you mean the passion. which is another name for good friday (passion friday... basically the passion of the christ for the people of the world, so he died for our sins etc etc).

Not sure about the eggs (apart from the symbol of new life) or the rabbit. "Passion" is just a transliteration from Greek, meaning "sacrifice" I think; remember the New testament was originally written in Greek.
