Are there any experts on lyohpilization here or someone who has some experience freezedrying?

And any of you that used a manifold freezedryer?

What's the problme?

I am using a manifold freezedrier and I was wondering if I can get a secondary drying with this manifold freezedrier.

Most literature states that you need an external heater to heat your samples to remove the bound water and to get secondary drying, but I was wondering if this is really necesairy.

Any idead about that?
