Ph.D. - (Mar/17/2008 )

My boss always complin those Ph.D. in the lab are bunch of guys with Permanent Head Damage (also known as PHD).

If the problem of PhD is Permanent Head Damage, then what's wrong with those post-doc, MD or even MS?

MD and MS are relative terms - comparing to normal subjects.

MD have 'mental deficit' and MS reach a state of 'mental stagnation or saturation' further than that improvement cannot be expected.

PhD are modern day saviours. They Preach, Heal, and Die.

Post-docs: that small fraction of humanity to come out the other side of the loooooong PhD tunnel. The ones who have learnt that sometimes the light at the end of the tunnel is, in fact, an oncoming goods train.

Also, the ones who have the qualification, but not quite enough publications to do the work they really want, as independent scientists. wink.gif
