bacteria that grows in hairspray found - from Journal of Systematic and Evolutionary Microbiology (Mar/11/2008 )

http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2008/...80307110337.htm

so, bacteria has evolved to live in hairspray...
the only way to be sure of killing the bugs before they land in your hair is to place a bunsen burner (or other flame) between the nozel and the hair.

will, since it is a possible cause of infection in humans, and bacterial infections of the brain produce personality changes... perhaps that explain any winehouse.

ew! I remember opening a hair product that I hadn't used in a while and I was disgusted to find it had colonies growing in it! It was a great product but I'm glad it's not available anymore!

Does anything explain Amy Winehouse?

it's interesting how life will find a way to adapt to its environment.
it makes you wonder (well, it makes me wonder) why humans try to do the oposite, and adapt the environment to our life?

convenience? laziness? stubbornness? only because humans have been changing the environment for the time they've been present (most recently during the last century) because they can? not thinking about the consequences of their acts. quote from Jurassic park: "nature will find its way". (sheeshhh! i should stop watching movies and get to work! tongue.gif)

What silliness. A bacterium was recovered from hair spray - it's doubtful that evolved or even adapted uniquely for that product. The environment of the product allowed the bug to grow/survive based on its existing capabilities. There is no shortage of microbes that can be recovered from seemingly unfriendly environments including "hairspray" - whatever that means in this context (i.e. with or without ethanol and propellants).

I really enjoyed the sophomoric 1/2-brained moralisms of the superior nature of microbes that adapt v. the humans who allegedly adapt the environment to themselves because they're so lazy!!! Hilarious. vett and toejam (how descriptive!) better stick with/to Amy Winehouse.

Mickey and Minnie Mouse have adapted to the environment by wearing pants and dress. tongue.gif
