secondary antibody labeling with NHS ester functionalized help? - (Mar/11/2008 )

Dear all,

I'd like to perform an immunostaining experiment with a home-made dye that is NHS-ester functionalized. If I were to buy a secondary antibody that's unconjugated- could I assume that there would be at least 1 exposed lysine, or a primary NH2 that I could conjugate to? If not, how would I go about finding out about that information?

any help is appreciated!

best,
Ender
