Need help in RNA extraction for soil - (Mar/07/2008 )

Please anyone help me about extraction RNA from soil?

I have no idea about RNA before, so please suggest any easy and effective method for me?

There are kits specifically designed from RNA extraction from soil:) just google!

Try the kits from Mobio...
And if it's not enough I suggest you the good old method of mechanical lysis with beads followed by phenol/chloroform extraction and ethanol precipitations...
I use this method on wastewater sludge which are rich in humic acids so It should work also on soil...
