Sodium borohydride - storage and use - (Mar/06/2008 )
Hi all - I'm using NaBH4 (sodium borohydride) to reduce autofluoresence in my sample for confocal microscopy. Just wondering how long I can store it, and under what conditions, or do I have to make it fresh every time?
In our lab, it is made fresh every time. Additionally, we do not add it to our buffer until just before use.

Same is true for our lab. although, I've seen people do some short term storage at 4C. Not sure how good it is to use following that.
When you see bubbles coming right out of the solution as soon as you add it, you know you should use it only freshly made.
It is very unstable with water, even moistry.
