Role of Trypsin in Hep G2 culture - (Mar/03/2008 )

I am a JRF at Avesthagen, Bangalore, India. Can any body suggest me the role of Trypsin in Hep G2 cell line culture.

Trypsin is normally used while splitting cells to get individual cell suspension.
