Good mounting medium - (Feb/16/2008 )

hey guys, would you be able to recommend a good mounting medium that can preserve fluorescence longer than a week? i currently use vectashield + dapi and i get a really weak GFP signal if i do not view my slides within a week. thanks very much.

We also use this mounting medium and can keep for months, even at RT (4oC is better). Are you sure it is not because of your fixation problem (the fixing step instead of the last mounting step)?

me too - i just looked at some slides two and a half weeks old

some drop off of signal is to be expected at the beginning but if i were to recomend it would be vectasheild
