Dissappearing nuclei - (Feb/08/2008 )

After fixing my cells (tenocytes grown in monolayer) in ethanol and staining with methylene blue a lot of them have lost their nuclei. Has anybody any idea why this might happen? It's never happened before - is it related to senescence? wacko.gif

Interesting phenomenon!
Maybe try fixing your cells in a different manner.
Maybe Methanol/acetic acid.
Does your protocol specifically call for etoh fixation?
