how to get working conc. of dNTPs for PCR - MATHEMATICAL CALCULATIONS (Feb/05/2008 )
I HAVE PURCHASED 100 mM dNTP set recently.This time i have purchased set not mix. How can i prepare the 2mM working concentration of dNTP mix.I am starter in this field so will be a favour to me.

remember C1V1=C2V2
i'm going to put an example as if you want to make a 1ml 2mM dNTPs mix. that is 2mM of each dNTP, and as I understand you have each of them at stock concentration of 100mM.
so for each dNTP you have: C1=100 V1=? C2=2 V2=1000 that is V1=20ul
you need 20ul of each dNTP in a final volume of 1ml, that is 20ul dATP + 20uldCTP + 20ul dTTP + 20uldGTP + 960ul H2O

One thing more Dear 20 ul of each dNTP and 920 ul H2O.Am i correct?

yup, 920ul dd water
20ul (100mM dATP) + 20ul (100mM dCTP) + 20ul (100mM dTTP) + 20ul (100mM dGTP) + 920ul H2O
= 1000ul (2mM dNTP) total volume
