Sepration of cells from cell debris in sample - (Jan/09/2008 )
Hi,
I have brush biopsies from the oral mucosa (submerged in medium) and I need to remove the debris (cell debris, oral debris etc.) from the sample. Any ideas? I have considered using some sort of centrifugation method but I am unsure of the xg / time etc. to use for the most effective purification. Thanks.

you may use a cell strainer to get rid off tissue; centrifugation with 500xg pellets cells; particles may retain in the supernatant

For our primary neurons, we centrifuge at 100xg to get pellet the cells and get rid of the debris.
