forget to add ethanol after phenolation - microrna isolation (Dec/25/2007 )

Hi guys,

yesterday I isolated toal rna from paraffin blocks and after
phenolation i add the sodium accetate but forget to add 3 volumes
of ethanol. the samples were kept in freezer at -20C over night.
what should I do?

can I add ethanol and percipitate over night again?

Sure you can.

it's ok to precipitate with ethanol.
Also quality of the prep may be decreased by the -20° storage in aqueous phase.
