How to use Blast? - steps to compare nucleotide sequence? (Dec/19/2007 )

Hi,
Can somebody help me to work with BLAST? I tried to get help from tutorial......but couldn't follow. unsure.gif

Just practice and to become familiar with BLAST.

do you have a sequence you want to look up?
do you know which animal?
you really ought to have a plan, or at least a gene of interest you are searing through.

I'm interested in all this stuff. so, I'm trying to get familiar to it. I was studying about DNA sequencing. Now I have a gel sequence on a paper. ( I have tried to read the sequence...I'm not sure if I read it correctly). It is human hemophilia gene.
