Noncompetitive Inhibitors - (Dec/13/2007 )

Do noncompetitve inhibitors comprise of substances that bind to both the regulatory sites of enzymes and the allosteric sites? I'm just not sure if allosteric inhibitors are a type of noncompetitive inhibitors or if noncompetitive inhibitors only bind the regulary sites (and not allosteric sites). Thanks. biggrin.gif

Ah, I found something on the web that said that the noncompetitive inhibitors are aka allosteric inhibitors and that allosteric sites and the same as regulatory sites... Is this correct or are they different things? Sadly, I cannot post any links yet.
