how to determine the expression level of 2 different transgenes - (Dec/12/2007 )
Hello all,
We are working on tobacco suspension culture and we transformed these cells with 3 different genes of same class (Individual transformants). To analyze these transgenes we would like to know the transgenic expression level of these genes. Is there any good method for doing that??? Thank you very much

RT-PCR, qPCR, Northern Blot...
You just need to design specific primers/probes for each gene.
Or western blot/ELISA if you're aiming for protein levels. This may be more adequate if your objective is production of recombinant proteins for instance.
