CFSE analog - is there an other color available? (Nov/29/2007 )
hello bioforumers,
I would like to use CFSE, but FL1 is already used, and I think, but don't remember well, that there is an other compound that does the same job as CFSE, but in an other FL. Do you know it?
thanks in advance

it depends on if you want to 1/ check cell division or to 2/ track cells ?
if 1/, I think that PKH26 from Sigma can do the same job
for 2/ CMTMR can be used in FLow cytometry, but is not as bright as CFSE.
for both, You will need higher concentrations and so you'll have higher toxicity.

I would like to check cell division of a small subpopulation after stimulation.
But maybe the best would be to change the antibody in FL1. Spend money, but maybe save cells and time.
Any way, I will have a look on PKH26. Thank you very much
