brdu staining on gfp+ve cells - (Nov/18/2007 )

Hello all,
I was wondering if anybody has tried staining adherent GFP +ve cells with BrDU. I tried using HCl (used most often to open up the nucleus for anti-brdu Ab access) but it destryos the endogenous GFP. Fixing cells with EtOh also leaks out GFP. Infact I even tried fixing cells with 4% PF followed by 2min 100% MeOH treatment, but apparently MeOh treatment isn enough to open up the nucleus.
Pls help!!

I suggest you to immunostain EGFP.
