what can be the reasons that a efficiency is calculated that is higher than 1?

This depends on what you are looking at. If it is PCR then you want the efficiency to be higher than one, in fact you want it to be 2. (two because the amount of amplimer doubles with each cycle when the reaction is operating at the maximum efficiency.) Reasons for the efficiency to be higher than two usually involve variation introduced by say color compensation or incorrect standard curves (underestimation of concentration) etc...
