Northern Blot - can't detect my mRNA - (Nov/07/2007 )

Hi,

I'm using a comercial blot by clontech to try to find out the expression pattern of my gene in varius tissues.

I've choose a 1Kb probe from an exon, when I blast it I got only my gene.

I did the hybridization, the actin got out perfect but nothing from my gene (the count on the gaiger showed 10E for the actin and 8000 for my gene, does it matter?)

any sugestion any one ?!?!

what is the background count?

8000 may be significant, expose a film and check it out.
