Live cell nuclei immunostaining - (Nov/02/2007 )

Hello, it is somehow possible to deliver antibodies to the nuclei of live cells (eg. for live-cell immunostaining)? I think digitonin or saponin will not permeabilize the nuclear envelope and triton could have serious effects on the cell viability. Maybe microinjection or liposomes? Thanks.

you can try incubating your cells with DAPI for 5-10 minutes. that will show you prominant nuclei.
