Jurkat/J77 cell line specifics - (Sep/26/2007 )

Hi, does anybody know what the big differences are between normal Jurkat cells, and their J77 subclone?
Genotypical? Phenotypical? I need to pick one and have never worked with them... smile.gif

Thanks!

I work with Jurkat, and did not know your answer, so I jumped over to ATCC.org to find out, but they don't have J77 in stock. So... since i love using shovels, i did some digging and found this

QUOTE
J77 is a CD2+ CD3+ Ti+ CD8- CD16- derivative of the leukemic human T cell line Jurkat.

This is from Howard FD, et. al. "The CD3 zeta cytoplasmic domain mediates CD2-induced T cell activation." J Exp Med. 1992 Jul 1;176(1):139-45.

hope that helps. now we both know! rolleyes.gif
