Reverse transcription validation and cDNA quantitation - (Sep/25/2007 )

Hi everybody!

I was wondering if you guys could suggest a way by which I can check if my Reverse transcription reaction worked? I suppose I can run an agarose gel and check my cDNA samples or nanodrop the samples to quantify them. Is there any other way you can check the quality of your cDNA product?

Do a PCR on your RT for a gene that you definitely know that should be transcribed in your sample (using primers that you have previously shown to work, of course!)
