Determination of virus titer - (Sep/12/2007 )

Hi everyone,


I need some help in determining the virus titer of the supernatant I'm generating. Does anybody know which is the formula I should use?

I know that methods to calculate titres is different for different viruses. For some viruses its just an estimate not an exact titre. what viruses do you have?

I'm using retroviral supernatants, generated with the pRV-IRES-GFP retroviral vector.

I believe, one can use p24 assay used for retroviruses. This could be more reliable.
