Medical doctors in medical research - (Sep/04/2007 )
Do medical doctors have advantages in medical research?
I know a MD who hasn't have a good track record in publication (around 10 papers), but he becomes a deputy director of a hospital research unit.

MD Ph.D. get strange powers sometimes.. They can ask for a transfection with a plasmid that is not even constructed in 10 days-differentiatied cells for tomorrow...
Really, I think the two letters (MD) give a lot more power than any number of publications a "only-PhD" may have.
