protocol wanted - a protocol for pyronin and hoechst 33342 doual straing (Aug/24/2007 )
hi everyone i want to staing cell by two dyes: pyronin for rna and hoechst 33342 for dna, is there any protocol for that, or any clues no it, thanks advance.

Hoechst is a passive dye. You can add it straight into the media and incubate it for 5-15 min at 37 and then fix or visualize. Pretty simple.

what is a passive dye? If a dye is passive, it just incubation ok?is fixation needed? And how about PY?
