It raise me a question.
In france university degrees are :
licence (3 years of uni)
master (licence + 2 years)
PhD (master degree + 3 years (of pain? )

i was wondering what is bachelor degree? and master degree is the same as in france?

usually a bachelor degree is 4 year (before master) and master is 1-2 years !

Hi Fred, the bachelor is the same as the license... soon the license will also be named bachelor in france (thanks to the bologna process...)

well i hope people won't remember the awful tv show named the bachelor

Talking about Bachelors - my country has 3 years bachelor programme and when we do bachelor, we don't know the rest of the world was doing 4 years of it. We go out to do masters and we are not accepted by any place saying they require 4 years of bachelor. The government has many things to worry about and they will always turn deaf ear to the genuine demands of the students who want to make a career. And when we have a 3 year bachelor, we are so stuck. We cannot go back and change it. We have no way forward nor any way backward. We think we are eligible but just because of education system of our country we are punished. We wonder what we should do - revolt and make ourself heard and make govt have 4 years of bachelor and then complete one year of bachelor and then apply for masters or just do nothing and be happy with whatever we have.

yes, it's 4 years, and u can study for 7 years (maximum) if u wish to b relaxed

Here in Mexico the bachelors (licence) related to science are 5 years!!!

Some others like administration are 4 years but very little are 3 years!

Then, you can study a master (2 years, but most of the time you finished in 3 years), then the PhD, 3 years more (most of the time 4, the last one without $$$$).

Or in some places you have the option of direct PhD (5 years)
