Bright wells! - (Aug/23/2007 )
Hi all,
After I run my plasmid on an agarose gel , I see a bright shadow in wells. Is this contamination , plasmid or something else?
I load 2 ul plasmid with 3 ul loading buffer. run 1 hour in 1% agarose gel.
Thanks in Advance

This is very commun, I think it’s plasmid that don’t cross.
I remember I read a post here about it long time ago with a good explanation, but I don’t remember it.

sometimes it can be genomic DNA getting stuck in the wells.

for a more in-depth look, you might wish to post a picture of the gel?
thanks
