SEQRET assistance - (Aug/13/2007 )
hi everyone,
i'm trying to find a way to get the seqret command from emboss to work like this: i have a file with a bunch of sequences (sequences.txt to mention something) that i'd like to extract from an specific database (repeat.database) instead of extracting one by one since that would be long and tiring. i know it is possible since i did it before but i can't figure out the way to do it now!!
thanks for your help!

I am not sure that is possible ... I haven't actually looked. You could try writing a perl/python script to do it. Else post an example of exactly how you would extract a single example and I will give you some help doing it.

thanks perlmunky, i only had like 50 sequences and i decided to do each of them manually, it didn't take that long
thanks for your help, have a nice day
