erythtrocites - (Mar/09/2004 )

Hei everybody blink.gif !
I need an aid...how obtain a suspension of 1% erythrocytes from a human blood sample?
Thanks!

just take your whole blood sample, and using a microcapillary tube and mini centrifuge. Spin down the sample. [Microhematocrit system]. That will tell you how many erythrocytes you have (what percentage). Then just dilute accordingly with isotonic buffered saline solution and retest hematocrit.

hope this helps
